Members of the Religious Society of
Friends gather in front of the building they used to meet in on NW
2nd Avenue in Gainesville. The building was used for that purpose

Thank you Ellie for reminding us Gainesville Friends of our past, albeit a past long before my arrival in Gainesville. I enjoyed reading the Gainesville Sun article and helping you get the picture you needed.

This was where we met when Larry and I first visited the Gainesville Meeting. What I remember best about our first visit was the Bible Study led by John Lepke. He had started with the first verse of Genesis and was going straight through. Since we spent only short periods in Florida, we missed some of the best parts.

A good way to demonstrate how rich people stay rich and poor people stay poor in the USA economy is to play the card game "Rich People Poor People." We played this on a Meeting game night. It makes this injustice clear, to adults and children ~12 and older, and the game is fun, too.
